I rented an apartment at Eagles Nest Circle Apartments for a year and a half. I gave 30 days notice before moving out. I was given the list of what needed to be cleaned before moving. The first statement on the list was that even if the apartment was not in that condition when moving in that it needed to be left cleaned according to the list when vacating. After cleaning the apartment, an exit inspection was requested. I was told that was impractical and that my refund would be sent to me within a month. Six weeks later I received a statement with invoices claiming over 1000 dollars of repairs and cleaning. I wasn't able to address the issue with the agent immediately since I was out of townfor a few weeks. Exactly 30 days after the statement was sent to me, I received a letter from a collection agency that the matter had been assigned to them. I contested the balance owed and received a letter with a copy of the contract highlighting the a cleaning fee of 65 dollars an hour would be charged for any necessary cleaning. I met with agent to dispute the charges. I was shown photos of the oven being moved away from the wall and dirt left behind it. As well a photo of dirt behind the refrigerator after it had been moved away from the wall. Cobwebs were noted in a closet and tape in a window. I told him that apartment was cleaner than when I moved in. He grinned and said "You know how many times I have heard that". The agent reduced the 1000 dollar amount by 100 dollars and acted as though I should be greatful. This agency takes advantage of Hispanics and poor uneducated people. I am neither and will pursue legal action. However, I would highly recommend staying away from renting from this agency. The are poorly managed and write their rental contract To charge 65 dollars an hour for what is not considered normal cleaning of an apartment.
Horrible Crooks! Notated damages prior to moving in. Lived in the house for 6.5 years and kept it maintained. Hired a cleaning company that did a damn good job. Then I got a bill from RES stating we owe them money even after our deposit. Most of what they have cited was notated during our walk through and was not caused by us other than normal wear and tear for living in the house for 6 1/2 years. They hired their cleaning lady and maintenance person at an ungodly price to fix almost non existant issues. I did not expect to get our entire deposit back but to say we owe anything is BS. Crooks!
Do not rent from this company! We rented from them in 2014, got charged outrageous cleaning rates. We tried to dispute or work out the problem back in 2014 and instead got charged for repairs and touchups to the house that were there before we moved in! Along with $472 to clean the oven. HOW?? They kept our deposit and sent the rest to collections. We disputed collections and didn't hear from then again. 6 years later i get a letter in the mail from them with an added $250 interest.
This company is the worst! Stay away! They target dumb people who don't care if they get screwed. Their business will not last for many more years because the future is the internet which they don't value. All these reviews are rated poorly and there is reason. They don't care. They don't care that these reviews are all horrible because they only take money from people who don't read this. Be sure not to mention taking pictures of the apartment and being smart because they will rent it to someone else and tell you lies. Stay away!
Never rent from them, the rudest ppl I have ever meant in my 6 years of renting. Lost 80% of our deposit because it took their cleaning lady 35 hours to clean a town house that was already cleaned. It thought to look around before you rent, just google "real estate systems gillette reviews its been happening since 2002. They got sued for having baby that lived in a moldy unit and tried to pin it on the tenant. never deal with them
